Tepper Women in Business Annual Leadership Conference
28 February 2021 @ February 28
Hosted by the Tepper Women in Business Club, this annual conference provides opportunities for future women leaders and allies to participate in leadership workshops, hear from accomplished Carnegie Mellon alumni, network with Pittsburgh entrepreneurs and executives, and build a community with peers. Guest speakers will share their career journeys, including how they navigated difficult decisions; moments of resilience in the face of challenging situations; and how they broke the glass ceiling to chart their own careers.
This year’s conference theme is resilience. Resilience is the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness. Those aspiring for greatness often tend to be thorough planners who think through various aspects of a problem and the multiple ways in which a situation may pan out. The coronavirus pandemic has taught us that sometimes situations occur outside of any planned scenario. Success in these types of situations demands a variety of skills — agility, quick thinking, empathy for all stakeholders, communication — but most of all, an enormous amount of courage, optimism, and passion.
