Keep it MBAchic: bright white looks for the office

Again with this weather… wow. Office dressing just really isn’t getting any easier, is it? Luckily we’ve seen a slight dip in temps here in NYC. This week, we’re sharing bright white workwear looks to help you keep it chic while again, beating the heat. I’d pack a Tide pen (or club soda), and get ready to rock these looks without a care.

If you’ve followed MBAchic for any amount of time, you know we love a cropped suit. This classic white suit is a fresh but polished summer look for the office, and you can belt it the way @vivaluxuryblog did here, or go without.
Find similar styles in 2026 at Ann Taylor (belted blazer, ankle pant) and more here.

A white sheath really is seasonless, and can be formal with a blazer, or more casually paired with a cardigan as seen here on Camila Alves. There are countless options out there, but in searching for a white sheath, definitely look for quality material and a longer length (a dress that hits or just passes the knee is elongating, and always looks more expensive – get help from your tailor to make sure it hits you at the right point). And layer however you like / need, as you step in and out of the sun (and office A/C).
In 2026 we like these options by REISS, Black Halo, Tommy Hilfiger, Vince Camuto, PrettyLittleThing and WHBM.

You probably have one or both of these pieces in your closet, but this neutral combo is perfect for a summer work outfit. We especially like the seam in the pant pictured here, but really any quality cropped pant is great for summer. Just be sure they’re lined (as in, you can’t see through how many and how big the pockets are when you have them on). Try these options from Lafayette 148, Theory, Ann Taylor, Alice and Olivia and Express.
For a 2026 update, check out this sweater with cigarette cropped pants, this stretch crepe option and even more for you linked here.

A tailored, but oversized white blouse offers some polish while keeping things easy, breezy. It goes without saying that it should be ironed to keep it chic and crisp (that feels necessary to note because… we’ve seen some *things*) and make sure formal enough for the workplace. There are some great options at Rent the Runway as well as blouses from Tibi, Donna Karan, Banana Republic, Eloquii.

While I don’t see myself rocking a tailored three-piece anything right now, this is such a luxe look for when we move on to [hopefully] cooler weather during the summer-fall transition. Love these jackets by x karla at Express, Frame, REISS, superdown and (only a limited quantity available now) Rebecca Taylor.
For a super chic 2026 update, check out this entire look (minus the buttons pictured): single button blazer, peplum v-neck, midi skirt, on major sale (save almost $125 on the entire look). And for a chic two piece look, this shorter blazer and column skirt stopped me in my tracks while online shopping a few days ago (if you’re not into the skirt, here’s the matching trousers).

If you’re in a less formal office, this combo seen on @susirejano is great for a summer Friday or a day where you’ll be transitioning to a casual drinks night with friends. Love how the natural belt tops the crisp, boot-cut trousers. Great belts here from Madewell and The Gap, and these are perfect trousers from Vince, REISS and Universal Standard. Again, a crisp white-button down takes care of the rest, here.
For a 2026 update, pair a crisp white linen blazer wide leg trousers (links here for petite blazer and petite trousers). More options linked here.

Sleeved, a-lines are some of of my favorite looks for summer at the office. They’re accessible and perfectly put together. Plus, it’s one piece, so it’s easy: throw it on and you’re ready to go. Chic looks in 2026 can be found by Lauren Ralph Lauren, Eloquii, M.M.LaFleur, Universal Standard, Banana Republic and if you need to dress it up slightly but want to keep it cool, this one by Elie Tahari.

While this vested look by @aimeesong is likely too casual for a job in finance or some other conservative environment, it’s a great summer Friday look for a creative or less formal office. Pair a white button-down with any of these wide-leg trousers by REISS, Universal Standard or BR Factory. Top with a vest like one of these from BCBGMAXAZRIA or Amanda Uprichard and you’re set. So fresh and so chic.
